Nuns who need sponsors

The nuns on this page need sponsors and there are many more not listed! Sponsorship donations are not given directly to the nuns but are used by the office of Tara Abbey to provide food, clothing, education and medical needs for all. The basic amount we suggest for sponsorship is $240.00 a year ($20.00 a month). When the school age nuns attend SMD an additional $240.00 a year is needed to pay for school fees. You need not sponsor the full $480.00 if a nun is in school, we are happy to have a second sponsor to cover all fees. The nuns write to their sponsors a few times a year and we send them on to you. Sponsorship can be a wonderful experience and you are invited to participate in their lives, as much or as little, as you wish.
